Teacher Introduction: zoey (mengyu) Yin

Zoey Yin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education (Piano) from the School of Music at Nanjing Normal University and a Master’s degree in Music Education from New York University’s Steinhardt department, where she was recognized as an Outstanding Graduate.

She began studying piano at an early age under the guidance of several renowned pianists and educators, including Professor Zhongguang Shi (pianist and conductor), Professor Huifang Ye (Nanjing University of the Arts), Professor Degang Feng (Nanjing Normal University), Professor Baili Fang (Shanghai Conservatory of Music), and Professor Fabio Gardenal (New York University). Zoey has won numerous gold prizes in piano competitions and earned second place in the provincial piano examination rankings.

With over 15 years of teaching experience, Zoey has been passionate about piano education since her undergraduate years. She emphasizes not only solid technical training but also individualized instruction, tailoring repertoire to each student’s unique strengths and interests. Her teaching style inspires confidence, nurtures enthusiasm, and has earned her the trust and admiration of both students and parents.

Student Opportunities

Our students benefit from a wide range of performance and growth experiences throughout the year, including:

  • 2–3 annual recitals, providing a professional stage to showcase progress and build confidence in performance.
  • 1–2 ABRSM or RCM examinations per year, offering internationally recognized certification and academic milestones.
  • 1–2 competitions each year for advanced students, giving them valuable opportunities to challenge themselves and shine on stage.
  • An annual collaboration with a chamber string ensemble, allowing students to experience the joy of ensemble playing and develop a deeper sense of musicality.
